Eisacktal - South Tyrol

Val d’Isarco / Eisacktal, made up of five small regions is the ideal place for great holidays.

Vipiteno / Sterzing, a charming small town set amid a number of valleys, welcomes visitors with a delightful combination of modern design and medieval atmosphere.  Mountain pastures and glaciers, woods and meadows are just a stone’s throw away.

Bressanone / Brixen is truly inspiring, attracting visitors with its southern charm and Mediterranean climate. Luson / Lüsen is not far away: a paradise popular with excursionists – be they in search of a taxing challenge or a quiet walk.

Chiusa / Klausen – the artists’ town on the banks of the Isarco river – is the doorway to the Dolomites and an ideal departure point for many small villages and towns in the surrounding valleys. Surrounded by the Dolomites of Val d’Isarco/Eisacktaler Dolomiten the area offers visitors the chance to go on excursions, sample the new wine (Törggelen), or simply enjoy the local culture.

At the heart of this area is Naz-Sciaves / Natz-Schabs: the apple plateau, sun-kissed and peaceful. Far from the madding crowds yet in the middle of a man-developed area: the attentive excursionist will in Spring thrill to the vision of flower filled expanses and in Summer and Autumn to the sight of fruit trees bowed low with their yield. The areas of Val d’Isarco / Eisacktal, ideal for winter sports, are close at hand.

The area of Monte Cuzzo Jochtal/Gitschberg Jochtal is varied and full of contrasts; a sunny tourist area offering a charming backdrop of rhododendrons and edelweiss in Summer and skiing in Winter. Here visitors find peaceful and idyllic valleys and green and pleasant mountain pastures where to relax.
