South of Südtirol - South TyrolGiardino del Sudtirolo/ Südtirols Süden (or the southern area of South Tyrol) is the ideal place for those who love swimming and sunbathing. From mid May until mid September the numerous lakes and water-parks offer  the perfect place for cooling down. The lake Lago di Caldaro / Kalterersee lies in the heart of a splendid landscape and vineyards. The lakes at Monticolo / Montiggler Seen and lake Favogna/Fennberger See are another favourite with those in search of sunshine and vitality.

Excursionists too will find their heart’s desire: in Spring there are flower filled nature walks and in Autumn there’s the “Törggelen”.

Wine-growing traditions are deep rooted in this area: side by side with the cypresses and olives grow the vines that makes the landscape especially pleasing to the eye. What’s more the excellent local wines represent the perfect opportunity for learning more about wine in general.

In April and May in Terlano / Terlan, Vilpiano / Vilpian and Settequerce / Siebeneich they harvest the asparagus: the principal ingredient of the light and delicious Spring dishes offered during the "Asparagus weeks".

Giardino del Sudtirolo/ Südtirols Süden also has lots to offer those who enjoy visiting Nature Parks, cycling or exploring twisted lanes, picturesque squares and magnificent porticoes.
