Getting South Tyrol

By car:

From the west: via Landeck, Passo di Resia / Reschenpaß or from Switzerland via Nauders and the Passo dello Stelvio / Stilfserjoch.
From the east: via Lienz, Prato alla Drava / Winnebach, San Candido / Innichen.
From the north: via Munich, Innsbruck, Brennero / Brenner.
From the south: via Verona.

By bus:

There are long-distance bus stations in Bolzano / Bozen, Merano / Meran, Bressanone / Brixen and Brunico / Bruneck. The S.A.D. bus company offers transport to all the resorts in South Tyrol.


Bus Transport:

N.B. many owners are willing to pick up guests at the nearest station if they should so wish, while there is often a local bus service from the station to the resort or even to the guest house itself. Please ask for further info at the accommodation of your choice.

By train:

Via Munich, Innsbruck, Brennero / Brenner, to stations in Vipiteno / Sterzing, Fortezza / Franzensfeste (change for Val Pusteria / Pustertal), Bressanone / Brixen, Chiusa / Klausen, Bolzano / Bozen (change for Merano / Meran), Ora / Auer.
Via Lienz (East Tyrol), to stations in San Candido / Innichen, Dobbiaco / Toblach, Monguelfo / Welsberg, Valdaora / Olang, Brunico / Bruneck, Vandoies / Vintl, Rio di Pusteria / Mühlbach.
Via Verona, Rovereto, Trento, Ora / Auer, Bolzano / Bozen.

Apart from Bolzano / Bozen, the nearest airports are Innsbruck and Verona (both about 1½ hours drive from the regional capital of Bolzano/ Bozen).
